Hike leaders are responsible for the safety and enjoyment of the group.

For anyone leading a hike:
    - Please email the dates you are available to lead within the deadline set in the leader/driver emails every month
            ex.) You receive an email asking you to report your availability by Sept 26 for October hikes.  Even if you are planning to lead on October 31, you must email your availability no later than Sept 26.

    - Pre hike preparation includes:
        - getting the map for your hike from the club locker or trails.com
        - email your hikers a couple of days before the hike with information specific to your hike  (i.e. weather, suggested gear, possible stops, etc.)
        - research the phone number and location of nearest hospital for your hike ****
        - pick up first aid kit from club locker
        - print out a list of participants to bring to your hike, make note of who is not present the morning of the hike
