Leading Hiking Trips
Hiking trips are organized and led by our members. Any member can lead a trip. If you are interested in leading a trip you simply need to get in contact with one of the officer to be put on our "Leaders and Drivers" email list. Every month you will receive an email asking for the dates and locations for which you are interested in leading a hike. There is no minimum or maximum requirement for leading a hike. You could do it once a year, or every weekend!
Mailing list
To get on the "Leaders and Drivers" mailing list, simply send an email to cuhikingclub@gmail.com with the subject line "subscribe leader/driver" and you will be automatically added to the mailing list.
Not sure where to lead a hike?
The hiking club owns books and maps with information for local hikes that you are welcome to use. We also have a subscription to trails.com that you can use to research trails online.
Drivers
If you are interested in being the driver for hiking trips then please contact us so we can begin the process. Drivers must be 21 years or older, with a valid US drivers license. Drivers must pass a written test given by Club Sports, and be comfortable driving a 12 person van. Drivers are responsible for retreiving and returning the van from the rental area before and after the hike.
Contact Us
If you'd like to be a leader and/or a driver for the club, contact us and we'll tell you more about it! We'd love to hear from you.
